Are you holding more than your body was ever meant to?
Tension in your jaw, tightness in your chest, numbness in your pelvis?
This is an invitation to meet your body with your own hands.
To release what it no longer needs and return to what has been waiting beneath.
Not something done to you,
but something you learn to do for yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Myofascial release is a gentle, sustained hands-on approach working with the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles, organs, nerves, and structures throughout the body down to a cellular level. Inspired by the work of John F. Barnes, this approach supports the release of tension, restrictions, and protective holding patterns within the body, allowing for greater mobility, sensation, emotional processing, and nervous system regulation.

For Unmute (jaw & neck), participants remain clothed. You may want to wear a top where straps can easily be moved away.
For Soften (chest & breast workshop), there will be moments of working topless within a respectful, non-sexual, and carefully held environment.
For Awaken (internal pelvic workshop), participants are asked to wear a long skirt or dress to allow for internal pelvic work while maintaining privacy and comfort. Additional coverage with a shawl, towel, or scarf is always welcome.
You are always in choice throughout the workshops and encouraged to honour your own boundaries and comfort level.

Please do your best to arrive on time. We gather at 17:45 and begin promptly at 18:00 in order to create a grounded and connected group container together.
If you do arrive late, you are still welcome to enter quietly and find your place in the space. Refreshments can be enjoyed during the break so the beginning of the workshop can remain uninterrupted.

The workshops take place in a beautiful and private yurt space at Magical Valley in Aljezur, a warm, intimate environment held with care, presence, and love. The space offers privacy, softness, and a grounding connection to nature, supporting the depth and sensitivity of the work.

Yes. As the body softens and protective tension patterns begin to unwind, emotional responses, physical sensations, trembling, tears, warmth, memories, spaciousness, or a sense of release may naturally arise.
The workshops are facilitated by Zerina, a trauma-informed somatic practitioner, within a carefully held and regulated environment. The intention is not to push into overwhelm, but to gently behold what the body is ready to reveal and release at its own pace.
You are always encouraged to slow down, pause, or adapt the process as needed.
-
Ideally, please register or let Zerina know in advance if you would like to attend. Spaces are limited, and while we will do our best to accommodate everyone interested, we cannot guarantee availability for walk-ins.
